History

History

Founded by Sean Walsh, Walsh has a long trading history with many of the world’s largest contractors.  The business was built on relationships and providing solutions for complex major projects.  The first major contract Walsh secured was for French (now Kier) which was the Sea Wall in Essex.  This led to gaining a reputation in successful delivery of major schemes throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s nationally.

Project size and value has increased exponentially and Walsh continues to support the industries growth and requirements through an integrated and relationship focussed approach.  Notable projects include London Underground Jubilee Line, Tilbury Docks and BP Coryton.

Walsh has built on the strength of its history and reputation and understands that the future is to provide an integrated solution for main contractors and clients.  Over the past decade Walsh has diversified its offering to provide Marine, Rail, Logistics, Environmental Management, Soils Testing, and many others on projects such as Cross Rail, London Overground, Channel Tunnel Rail Link (HS1), The Olympics, Thames Link, National Grid Power Tunnels, Thames Tide Way Tunnel and Canary Wharf.
